// Smarty/Sexypants: Sally Singer Interview via Paper
There’s a great interview in Paper with recently-appointed NY Times Style Magazine Editor in Chief Sally Singer (who edited the news and features sections of American Vogue for over 10 years). Singer and Paper editor Kim Hastreiter wax philosophic on the politicization of cultural commodities beyond fashion (why is it cool to buy organic shit?), Magazines as “emotional vehicles” and how at the end of the day, we all just want to look good. I love when Singer breaks it down to this: “Fashion is just what you put on to go out into the street to deal with all the other stuff. So everything has to be part of it.”
