Eso Robinson has been working with words, photos, patterns and structures since her childhood began in Brooklyn, NYC. She is an artist in residence at the Old American Can Factory studio complex in Gowanus and has participated in numerous exhibitions and markets in and around Brooklyn, including Stitch Project, the BWAC Pier Shows and the Capricious Artket, mixing fine art and wearables. She received her BFA from SUNY Purchase in 2002 where she created sculptures and installations of welded steel and found objects to house poetry and photography, juxtaposing organic ephemera with the concrete precision of industry and architecture. Due for a Southwestern relocation in the pursuit of higher education, space, and sunlight, she will remain a New Yorker at heart, stimulated by it’s ever-evolving street culture and overflowing information exchange.
